About Me

I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 30 years of experience. During the last 20 years, I have also been in private practice. From working with families after 9/11, to teenagers struggling with self-esteem, to women facing infertility, miscarriages and adjustment to parenting, I have worked with amazing individuals at crossroads in their lives and feel lucky to know them.
For the last three years I have been the Admissions and Clinical director at The Motherhood Center of New York and part of the team to help build a one-of-a-kind treatment center for women experiencing perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. I now consult for The Motherhood Center part-time.
I have also worked in a variety of other settings, including SUNY Stony Brook placing social work students in their field placements; supervising the young adult program at JBFCS; working with runaway and homeless youth at SafeSpace; and conducting parent interviews at an early intervention program. My training ground was at St. Vincent's Hospital Rape Crisis Program, where I worked with rape and incest survivors, and developed a passion for and experience with people facing trauma and adversity.
I am a member of RESOLVE (The National Association on Infertility) and NASW.
I have a B.A from Gettysburg College and and a Masters in Social Work from New York University.
